Belated Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Omg I so can not believe that including today there are only 2 days left of 2009.  Wow, where did that go?  I know it isn’t just me that is thinking that these months, days and years are rushing by at lightening speed at the moment.

We have had a very very busy few weeks.  I made alot of the pressies that we gave Adults this year and so had some very late nights most of last week.  Friday dawned and we opened presents and had breakfast and opened some more.  I put on a Duck to roast.  I have never cooked a whole duck before so after some research I am very glad with how it came out.  We had a quiet day with a friend of mine Lisa and her daughter who David is great friends with come over for a swim in our awesome neighbour’s pool and then lunch…Though sitting out on the deck i was wishing that it was a BBQ and salads and OMG it was sooo hot.

After an afternoon of relaxing 2 of our neigbours (brothers) came over for a drink and some desert.  One of the neighbours is the Man that David has addoped as an addopted Granddad…Then it was a quiet night with wrapping more pressies for the next day.  I will upload some Christmas Pics when I have had time to edit them.

Boxing Day dawned wonderful and after some tidying up the boys headed out to Tuakau to pick up Tanya, Cody and Jacqueline.  From 11am everyone started arriving…We had Lisa & Annelise, Louise, Steve, Joshie & Lucas.  Theresa, Patrick, James, William & Grace and Cheryl, Peter, Jacob and Kaitlyn.  With Tanya and Co there were 10 adults and 10 kids.  After a bit of playing the kids headed down to the waterslide that Richard had set up on the next door paddock that has a bit of slope.  These awesome pics are ones that Louise took.  I so need to save up for a good camera!  Then it was onto a BBQ lunch and always if you know me I always over cater totally!  Then it was onto pressies a bit of a play then desert.  After everyone headed home we had a quiet afternoon.

Sunday 27th we headed down to Hamillon for Christmas with Richard’s family.  This was lots of fun.  We had a Cold Lunch which was really yummy with lots of salads.  We are trying out different salads for when we do Inlaw’s 50th Anniversary BBQ in January.  Then it was onto opening pressies and along with Christmas Pressies I got a belated birthday pressie which was a $50.00 scrapbooking voucher…My SIL knows me so well LOL.  Then home to a very very quiet day on Monday.

I will do another post tomorrow hopefully with some Photos as Blog doesn’t seem to want to post them at the moment.  I hope everyone is having a lovely lead up to the New Years.
